1. Who we are
Logos: Citas Filosóficas (“Logos”, “we”, “our”) is a mobile application that delivers daily philosophical quotes, reading streaks, and AI-powered dialogue with philosophers. The app is operated by Sergio Sánchez García (contact: sergiosanchezgarcia94@gmail.com).
2. Data we collect
2.1 Account and authentication data
When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and a Firebase Authentication identifier (UID). You may sign in with email and password, Google Sign-In, or Apple Sign-In on iOS. We do not store your password — authentication is handled entirely by Firebase Authentication (Google). Your sign-in history and session tokens are managed by Firebase.
2.2 Usage data (analytics)
We collect anonymous events such as: app session starts, quotes read, streaks earned, and paywall views. Events are linked to your Firebase UID when you are signed in, and to an anonymous session otherwise. This data is used solely to improve the app.
2.3 Subscription data
If you purchase a premium subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status via RevenueCat (revenuecat.com) — we do not store your payment details.
2.4 Reflections, favorites, and reading progress
Text you write in the Reflections section, quotes you mark as favorites, and your reading progress are stored on our servers linked to your Firebase UID. This content is never shared with third parties and is deleted when you delete your account.
2.5 AI dialogue
Messages you send in the philosophical dialogue feature are sent to the Google Gemini API (google.com) to generate responses. Your conversation sessions are stored in our database linked to your Firebase UID. Sessions are deleted when you delete your account. Please do not share sensitive personal information in dialogues.
2.6 Advertising (free tier)
The free tier includes rewarded video ads served by Google AdMob (admob.google.com). AdMob may collect your device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, GAID on Android) and usage data subject to Google’s Privacy Policy. On iOS, we request your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework before using the advertising identifier. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.
3. How we use your data
- To create and maintain your account and authenticate your identity
- To deliver the core app experience (daily quotes, streaks, favorites, reflections)
- To process and verify your subscription status
- To power AI philosophical dialogue
- To improve app quality through analytics
- To serve relevant advertising on the free tier
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for marketing purposes.
4. Data sharing
We share data only with the following service providers, under contractual data protection obligations:

5. Data retention
- Account data (Firebase UID, email, display name): retained until account deletion
- Reflections, favorites, reading progress, chat sessions: retained until account deletion
- Anonymous usage events: retained for 12 months
- Subscription records: retained for legal/accounting purposes for up to 7 years
6. Your rights and account deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account inside the app. Deletion removes your profile, favorites, reflections, reading progress, chat sessions, points, and collectibles from our servers, and deletes your Firebase authentication identity. Language and onboarding preferences stored locally on your device are not affected.

7. Children’s privacy
Logos is intended for users aged 13 and older. The AI dialogue feature requires an account and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at sergiosanchezgarcia94@gmail.com immediately.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Significant changes will be communicated via an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
